Ustad Abas Arshad holds an ijazah, an unbroken chain of transmission back to the Prophet ﷺ, authorising him to teach the Islamic sciences. He spent 6 years studying under Shaykh Imdad Hussain Pirzada at Jamia Al-Karam, covering Arabic, tafsir, hadith and the rational sciences, and then studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. His specialisation is issuing legal verdicts (fatwa) in the Hanafi madhab. He is a co-founder of flowdays and reviews every article in the flowdays library.
