Ustadh Abas holds an unbroken chain of transmission (ijazah) back to the Prophet ﷺ, authorising him to teach the Islamic sciences.

He spent 6 years studying under Shaykh Imdad Hussain Pirzada at Jamia Al-Karam, mastering Arabic, Tafsir, Hadith, and the rational sciences. He then studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo.

His specialisation? Issuing legal verdicts (fatwa) in the Hanafi madhab.
